Roman Just over a year later. Looking good.

oregonjewelry: I have been creating jewelry and hair pieces for almost twenty years. First, for my parents who taught me the skills and techniques for many of our old designs, and now for myself as I create many new designs. For every piece that I create, I start with raw materials. Most of the metal forming is done by hand with simple tools such as round or flat nose pliers and a few hand made jigs. In many of my new designs, the sculpting and metal forming is also done under the torch while the metal is red hot or near molten. Once the metal is formed to a shape of my liking I do all my joins with an oxygen and gas torch. The pieces are then hand hammered to the proper shape and given a fine finish.
